Loved my shuttling experiences. Communications with Helga are efficient and clear. Driver was on time, very experienced, and able to handle our canoe trailer.

Rental equipment okay, overall experience not good. Long story ... but I would not trust them to attach the canoe onto your car.... also being closed on Sunday is incredibly inconvenient as this is likely the most common equipment drop off day.
Nice place with lots of outdoor equipment for sale. You can rent kayaks and canoes here aswell.

The good: we had two canoes that floated, paddles and life jackets and our cars were shuttled to where they were supposed to be at the correct time. The bad: very poor customer service and the reason why I am giving two stars. The lady behind the counter who I'm sure some of the poor reviews are directed had a bad attitude and no concept of how to treat a customer. I had called and made the reservation months in advance and asked how the shuttle service worked and was informed that they would explain everything upon arrival. Upon arrival we discovered we should have brought an extra set of keys (I mistakenly thought they would drop the canoes off with us, drive our cars back and we would get the keys when we arrived back). Unfortunately, we had to leave our cars unlocked and hide the keys somewhere on the vehicles and hope they weren't stolen. All this could have been avoided if more info was given to the customer up front. We had a difficult time figuring out this alternate plan on the fly, and when asking for input on how the shuttle service worked I was met with blank stares and eye rolls. You would think that she was paying me 450 for canoe rentals instead of the other way around. It was almost as if this was the first time they had ever done this. Another strike was the lack of information after finalizing the reservation and heading out. No information on stopping at the Sand Lake gate for reservations, where to park at Achray, not even which direction to go. Fortunately I am very familiar with the park so this was not a problem, but could be for someone less familiar with the area. If you can, I would advise trying somewhere else.
A lot of people have given Helga a hard time in the reviews - but we just worked with her a few weeks ago to rent 2 canoes & shuttle our car, and she was extremely pleasant and kind! I think the key is to be patient as this store doesn't do things too quickly and is on a paper-based system. They will get things done if you are polite and patient! Also our car was shuttled to the wrong spot which although this was frustrating, it wasn't the worst situation in the whole world. Helga was very kind to apologize excessively on behalf of her and her colleague who moved the car, and they immediately offered a refund without us having to ask. I would suggest if you are getting a shuttle service, to very clearly remind Helga (in addition to writing on the form) of where the end point is and to have her repeat it back to you and show it on the map. Also, request her cell phone number or the driver's in the case you exit and the car isn't there (this store closes at 2 pm so you cannot communicate with them after 2 pm). Overall a good experience! Let's all be thankful there are outfitters up there to help us explore our beautiful province!
Don't go to this horrible place! They lie and treat you as you are garbage! One of our cars were not suttled at all, we end up driving around at night, kids tried and eaten by bugs were waiting for four hours in the dark in the middle of parking lot. Don't trust a word that lady says. She lies and don't care about consequences. She has no IDEA about customer service, nor respect to other people! Stay away
Very friendly staff. Good rates for renting supplies, offer great delivery services, and i find thry are very accommodating (they left stuff out for us unpaid for because we were showing up after their close time).
