Great place the staff are very polite and helpful. The carvery meat portions were awesome and the veg selection was good. My only complaint was that the beef was rather fatty. Great otherwise!!

Took my kids here for an impromptu Sunday Carvery and I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food and service. We were seated quickly and introduced to the menus. Carvery food was great, freshly cooked and a good selection of meat and vegetables. We also had desserts which were off the main menu but again, arrived quickly and tasted great. As good as cooking your own Sunday roast but without the washing up. Bonus!

I was pleasantly surprised when coming here. They had just reopened and changed hands. The food was just as tasty as before but the meat was double the amount. Staff were friendly and helpful. They also had a very good children's menu. The waiter, Tom, was attentive and friendly to customers.

It's not part of the Toby Carvery anymore which was once filled with staff. It's still a carvery but your left waiting a long while to be served up at the carvery. You only see 1 or 2 staff around and you need more staff. Sick of these cut backs. The food is nice and your normal prices. However due to short staff, the food on the carvery and the sauces aren't filled up regularly. This is why more staff is needed. However the only 2 staff you see are very friendly and polite. Easy parking and easy wheelchair access.

Absolutely foul food.... Yorkshire puddings were swimming in fat... the mash was awful it was full of lumps and very bland. The cabbage was very peppery and the gravy was like water. Nice young man who served us. The only item we were able to eat was the turkey....

Visited today and seems to be under new ownership as it's not a Toby carvery anymore. Food was still delicious and cheap and there was a lovely atmosphere. They had some network issues with the card machines but staff were very apologetic. The blond lady by the door who took us to our seats is always lovely and very welcoming. Will come here again next time I want a carvery!

This place needs more staff. I waited twenty minutes to be seated, didn't see a single member of staff in that time. I even went to the carvery section and the bar. Not one person. I could have helped myself and sat down but I never dreamt they wouldn't appear

Breakfast was lovely and consistent with other Toby's. Lovely old style pub with good atmosphere. However people did seem to miss the sign that said pay at the bar for which I heard a few people moan when no member if staff approached to seat them. Friendly staff and would definately recommend.
