Breviro is an international team of entrepreneurs, biologists, engineers, conservationists and aquaculture specialists. And we’re people who love sturgeon. We are the only CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species) licensed captive breeding facility for Acipenser Brevirostrum sturgeon on the planet, and we believe in environmentally sustainable, traceable, and responsible aquaculture. Our original broodstock sturgeon came from Canada's only river to have a thriving wild population - the Saint John. The Saint John River flows from the mountains of Maine into northern N.B. and Quebec until it empties into one of the world's natural wonders in the Bay of Fundy. The original sturgeon spawned our current stock before being put back into the Saint John River where they could thrive again. Our ongoing commitment to research, testing and innovation produces caviar that is truly unique. It has a flavour and terroir akin to its native Canadian geography, often described as cool, clean and creamy and its colour range is something unique to all caviars. With characteristics that are reflective of its rarity, Breviro Caviar is a special experience for special occasions. We’ve devoted over 15 years of care, craftsmanship and attention to reviving one of the planet’s rarest sturgeon stocks to produce this truly exclusive caviar. There are certainly easier pursuits, but for us, none more worthwhile.
