Fabulous castle fairly well preserved so you can really get the feel of it. Great little shop and visitor centre, the staff are very friendly and all too happy to help and answer questions. ️

Brougham Castle is one of those little gems that people probably drive past without really noticing it. There is a lot of history with the family who've owned it through the ages and the evidence of their own stamp being added to the building. Some areas were closed due to social distancing however it didnt detract from the visit, although we will be back for those bits.

They spell it Brougham....... and pronounced Broom........Very interesting piece of history and very well worth walking the entire site and venturing into all the little nooks and crannies then walking to the top of the keep tower....... simply stunning

Fab views. Nice walk around the outside. Some private land that you can't access the Riverside from. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff.

lovely place to explore in a beautiful, peaceful setting. There's a dark, narrow staircase that leads to the top of the Keep and you can then walk round the top for amazing views of the surrounding landscape. This is definitely one of the better ruined castles to visit!

Lovely little castle, no carpark but other than that a real beauty spot. Love our English heritage membership. Can pop in to places as we are passing them.
