Visited in September last year whilst we were camping in Ulswater. Toffee apple cake is just divine. Ended up going back every day whilst camping for breakfast. Food, atmosphere, staff 5 stars all round. We even called on our way home to take some toffee apple cake home with us.

The place to go! Freshly home-cooked/baked food/cakes that are stupendously fantastic. Great coffee, lovely staff, and all for a very reasonable price. You'll love it there.

Lovely coffee house in central Penrith which also has a large range of cakes and food including vegetarian and gluten free options. There was a slight wait for table service (no more than 15 minutes) which is understandable as they were fairly busy with only a few staff, I saw 2-3 wait staff for the whole place. Very reasonable prices and are patient if you want to sit for a while while engrossed in a good book!

This place deserves 6 stars! The food is freshly prepared with tasty and high quality ingredients. We had grilled cheese bacon and guacamole on brown sourdough and it was exceptional. The bread tasted homemade and the side salad had a delicious dressing. Staff are friendly but not fussy and every care is taken regarding COVID safety. We can’t wait to return. Home baked cakes and scones are wonderful too.
