Highly recommended, we popped in for a bite to eat and a pint, we were not disappointed. All safety measures were in use, lots of places to sanitse your hands, a friendly welcome greeted us, the food was beautiful and the beer was cold. Next time we are back in Penrith, we will definitely be popping in.

Lovely food and very helpful staff. One of our party was vegan and the chef made them a dish up . Would definately go again. All the meals are lovely and very generous .

We didn't make s booking and we were pleasantly surprised the staff went over and beyond to make us up a table. The menu was varied and I loved the clear dairy and gluten free notation on the menu. I had lobster risotto to start which was a little el dente for me but still yummy. I then had fish and chips with gluten free batter. Worth eating here.

Nice atmosphere and lovely venue. Black pudding scotch egg was amazing. Steak was very disappointing though.

It was our first time at Dockray Hall so I can't comment on how things used to be as others have, but we were a bit disappointed with the food. I had the fishcakes which were pretty bland and the burger which was really dry inside. On the plus side, portion sizes were very (too?) generous and service, when it arrived, was friendly.
