Fabulous bar with a good selection of ales. Really felt safe COVID wise - staff wore face coverings and sanitised everything between customers. Just a unisex loo on the top floor but very clean. Top Marks all round.

Fabulous bar, probably the best in Penrith & not a generic multi national beer to be seen! 6 cask ales on tap and 7 craft too! (all local independents) If you haven't visited this bar yet you are missing out, you should also try their sister bar in Kendal! I was here earlier in the week, late Sunday, Monday evening & Tues afternoon. Although a quiet time of year the bar appears to have its regular (friendly) local crowd. The staff were very friendly & extremely knowledgeable about their beers. Highly recommended.

We had a fantastic night here. The choice of ales and gins was brilliant, my wife particularly liked the nettle gin. All Covid based restrictions were explained as soon as we came in and were upheld completely. There was a point early on when a gentleman decided to break the social distancing rules, was asked to sit down repeatedly and was then a complete arse about it, but Louise handled the situation fantastically and deserves all the credit she can be given for it. We will return the next time we visit Penrith.

This has got to be the best beer venue in Penrith, with an extensive list of cask, keg, cider and gin. They obviously stock a lot of their own beers but have others too. The staff are chatty and friendly, the pub has free and fast WiFi and sometimes get bands in too. If you like beer and you are in the area make sure you call in, it's excellent. Even the toilets are immaculate whenever I have visited.

The best selection of craft ale by far in Penrith. It's also a really friendly place which plays a brilliant and eclectic range of music. It's taken excellent measures in social distancing etc. during the pandemic, making you feel safe and cared for by the lovely staff. Also, no mainstream beers! Bonus!
