What a place. Just get away from it all. Check out the plants walk round the gardens buy stuff and eat and drink. Inside or out. Car park. Or cycle from Penrith. Walk from Penrith.

Their cafe is the perfect place for coffee and cake or lunch. Can't think there's many places with a nicer view than their covered balcony.

Amazing place. You could spend the day here, we enjoyed a gorgeous lunch whilst looking over the fabulous grounds from the restaurant. The grounds are stunning, well maintained, whilst enjoying the interesting paths you see the plants in the borders which are labelled & the said plants are located near for easy fines. Staff are so helpful, the team, peter & Jo knowledge truly outstanding. Very helpful.A must visit. Highly recommended

Larch Cottage is always a happy place to visit at Christmas with a nursery full of trees. exciting decorations..gifts and Christmas cheer.. a cafe and gallery too..

It is located in a very small village and really is a \hidden gem\. The shop is relatively small but the plant display is very extensive. Large selection of plants and particularly good selection of trees which looked beautiful in their autumn colours. The range of conifers was particularly impressive - over 500 varieties. Check the A-Z list on the website. Some unusual and very substantial garden sculptures, figures and statues.
