After a full days mountain biking you can imagine how glad I was to find this little gem of a tea room. I had to rub my eyes initially I thought I was seeing things. Its just in the most unexpected place, fully stocked with just about anything you could want after a hard days walking/riding. I pay it a visit every time I'm in the area... Fantastic

Could not believe this place was there. It wasn't on any of the maps we were using. It was a lovely tea room that you would expect in a town or village. passers by were drawn in like a fly to a blue light. Totally recommend a visit
Lovely place with very helpful and friendly staff. We did the walk on a rainy day. I was very pleased to find this place to have some hot drinks and food.
Walked past on bank holiday Monday early May a couple of weeks ago and to our dismay it was closed! Looks OK and it's got outside seating and some sort of holiday apartment on the ground floor, but it didn't help us on our walk that day!
Having walked Place Fell battling the elements it was brilliant to find the tea room open, a warm friendly environment with wonderful cappuccino and the last two pieces of yummy Victoria Sponge awaiting us. Thoroughly recommended.
This tea room literally save the lives of half our walking party, without the cake and coffee someone would surly have been sacrificed for fuel. Great stop off
Great stop on a walk it's a really lovely little cafe and such great food.
Very good cake. A nice stop along the Ullswater way. Good views from the outside seating
