Lowther Park is a wonderful place to walk with beautiful scenery all around. Lots of free parking nearby. Its a mix of soft or hard surfaces with lots of improvement work going on to the paths. You can spend the whole day wondering here and children can have great adventures. Dress appropriately if it's raining it's going to be muddy. If its sunny pack a picnic! If you fancy a drink Pubs and shops nearby. Well worth a visit whatever the weather...

Excellent family holiday park really feels safe for kids and plenty to keep them occupied . Darren, the owner of the shop, with his wife Tracy, also run the squirrel inn and are very friendly with reasonable prices the river is beautiful. The park is immaculate. There is park's, football pitch,BMX track, and more. Lowther castle just thought a lovely woodland is awesome nothing to stop anyone from visiting here best site my family have been to amenities are clean and also a laundry room. Arcade room for kids, pub entertainment for grown ups can't rate it highly enough

I normally always leave a 5-star review but in this instance I'm giving him a 4-star because it was very muddy and I got ordered off the road and told to do so. I put up a fight but the security backed the tractor guy up, I said no and they made me put onto the mud and then they said they told me they would tow me off. I got stuck but my towing eye was broke on the van so I had to get off home on my own Steam. Took me ages to get off and they just left me to it... Never going there again.
