Beautiful place, when you arrive you get given a map showing the various walking routes which also clearly show how steep or difficult certain sections of the routes/paths are, you could come on multiple occasions and navigate the area as you wish. There is an absolute abundance of nature/wildlife to observe at the hide where binoculars are provided, there are not the best so if you have your own it's probably best to bring them, still it's fantastic they are there. Dogs are allowed but must be kept on leads and there is a lovely little cafe which closes at 16:30. Highly recommend especially if you are National Trust members

Will I am sure be 5 Stars when more of the Hall is renovated and open to view. But the Building, Staff and wonderful grounds are 5 Star already. Beautiful place to visit with great history dating back to the Knights Templar. Woodland walks, excellent gardens, Water Mill, Mines and good food served in Courtyard Cafe where food demonstrations given by growers and chefs. Visit it soon!

Lovely gardens and tearoom and watermill . Lovely just lovely . Only a few rooms open in house, you can read why on website. Great cafe and outdoor seating area. Lovely walk to the water mill, through the wood which is next to the river. flour available to buy in the gift shop, second hand book shop and plants for sale too. Look out for the fairy houses in the woods, also games and den building. The gardens are lovely and natural, nice to see old fashioned gardens and orchards.

House is still under renovation so not a lot to look at inside. Gardens and surrounding area is nice for a walk. There is a watermill which at certain times in the day you can see in operation.

Nice walk by the river and around the gardens. Not a great deal for the kids to do, no park. But the staff were very nice and the cafe is cosy with plenty of games to play!
