The place itself is easy to find in Shap, just on the main road. The customer service is great . Staff very nice and polite, always welcoming . The taste of fish is heavenly and chips are lovely. I think one of the best I have ever eaten. If you like gravy, that's the place to get it from. The curry sauce worth buying as well. Overall, if you are near by or just want to try something delicious then make your way to the Shap Chippy.

Excellent chippy with some lovely alternatives on the menu and a great App you can order online in advance. I had the Bengali spiced prawns and my wife went for their new Pea Fritters - both of which were excellent. Really efficient and friendly staff. The order was ready bang on time, and they had been really helpful eariler in the day answering my questions via Facebook Messenger.

The members of staff are really good and abide by the covid-19 rules,everything is cooked fresh,phone your order or wait outside, once order taken you are given a time to collect, its all safe and clean

Love this Chippy - and it just got better! Once a month opening for a gluten-free Monday - this was the first and I decided to eat in. I'm lucky that I can eat anything but I wanted to try the gluten free so I can take friends when they stay. 10/10! The batter was delicious, light and really crispy. I would not have known it was GF, but I knew it was delicious! Service was excellent - friendly and efficient.
