This is a really excellent, caring family doctors practice. We have been with this practice for many years and the doctors are very caring and responsive to your needs. I have a complex medical condition and they are very supportive. The receptionists are always very kind and do their best to help you and the nurses are lovely too. I would recommend this practice for their considerate care of their patients and their very fast access to diagnostic tests in areas such as ultrasound scans. This is a real family practice.

Ring for help and assistance and get Dr receptionist handing out medical advice like shes trained to do so. Bad customer service and even worse public relations training. Shame they have such a captive audience with being the only doctors in the village.

Two years ago whilst working in Keld I burnt my hand. I went to this medical center and was refused treatment, on the basis that I wasn't registered there! As A&E is in Carlisle and it wasn't life threatening, I assumed they would let a nurse take ten minutes with me to dress it. I don't think this a national problem, I think it's the negative attitude in Shap health centre.
