I love Stone Circles, they have a wonderful atmosphere. Once we had found it, it did not disappoint.
Lovely walk to the circle. Fantastic views on the way up.
Situated above Pooley Bridge, Ullswater, this stone circle appears while enjoying a walk to or from How Town. It's not huge, but is an interesting stopping place to consider the many people who have walked this way in the past, recent or distant!
Sat available takes you into the caravan park, go past that turning and go up the next one then walk about 30mins up the lane to a fantastic stone circle in an exposed hillside.
