So I visited the store in Falmouth today and I got asked for I.D in Asda for buying 2 Gin Glasses but not for the 2 cans of Rockstar Energy Drink?? When I said, sorry I don't have I.D on me the elderly male cashier asked me to remove my face mask, which I declined as we're in a Lockdown with the coronavirus and then he said he wasn't allowed to sell me my 2 Gin Glasses however i was allowed my Energy drinks? I'm 29 about to be 30 in 6 weeks. I wasn't buying any alcohol literally just 2 empty gin glasses. My partner Amber then goes back in the store to buy the glasses separately from the same cashier and she wasn't asked for I.D and she is 22???

Exceptionally poor staffing levels, staff are constantly rushed off their feet and brisk. Shelves look half empty and the staff that are employed there are rude and combative.
Poor customer service as far as the home delivery goes. Drivers can be rude and unreliable. Our last delivery turned up 30min before the time slot (we were out) and didn't bother coming back at the correct time. The store didn't answer our phone calls so I had to go to the shop to try and find my shopping I wasted good 2 hours of my time to try and get it all together and get to the bottom of this mess. The store later insinuated that we simply didn't answer the door. Overall, they really poorly handled what could have been a simple fix but I suppose you get what you pay for when it comes to supermarkets? We have since \upgraded\ to Tesco and couldn't be happier. The store itself is fine to be fair, as long as you don't have to deal with (at least some of the) staff.
I was in the Penryn store yesterday and was shocked how few people santised their hands or cleaned their trolley. I have recently recovered from Covid so have first hand experience of how unpleasant it is: I therefore clean my hands as I enter a shop and again as I leave. I was pleased that ASDA had provided cleaning products however there was no supervision of people entering the store or controlling the number of people in the building. In the time I took to sanitise my hands and trolley, not a single person entering the shop did the same: there was a staff member handing out masks but nobody to encourage or enforce hygiene. This will be my last visit to ASDA until the pandemic ends or ASDA start paying serious attention to keeping Cornwall in Tier 1 and and its residents safe. Richard Lewis
I was the ASDA petrol station in Penryn, Cornwall filling up my car with diesel. The automatic shutoff on the nozzle failed to work and diesel spilled on the side of my car, after wiping the diesel off my car I proceeded to carefully fill up two gallon containers with diesel. The nozzle failed on both occasions and I proceeded to carefully clean the area of the spilled diesel on the pavement. Upon paying, I reported the incident and asked for a credit of one litre to compensate for the diesel lost. The cash attendant was very nice said she would call her manager, Mr. Gavin Sparks, who came across as rude and aggressive. He did not bother to look at the spillage area, even though I told him it was a matter of safety. He flatly denied that anything was wrong with the nozzle and said that ASDA doesn't give compensation. The attendant did promise me that she would sort it out for me and the manager then said that he didn't have to bother to come out to speak to me. He never looked at the unsafe spillage area and huffed off muttering under his breath. Customer service, on the management level, was at its lowest level for me. I am truly disappointed. Thom Pod
