Unsafe/unhealthy living conditions. Black mold above the shower. I then checked 5 ventilation vents throughout the hotel (the photo is of the one in my room) and each has mold in them. If mold is in and throughout the ventilation system this means that EVERY room is infested with black mold. They also charged me 45 for canceling despite the fact that I was canceling due to the mold. If you are sensitive to mold like I am, DO NOT stay here. This will be reported to the Better Business Bureau. I encourage others with the same experience to do the same.

First Let me start by saying that for the price it is a decent place to stay. I was here for 33 days and it is the cheapest place in town and closest to Naval base for me. All the other hotels were nicer but I was not going to be paying double if not triple of what I paid here. Now let's talk about the hotel, I never felt unsafe in my room or walking my dogs at midnight. The people that cleaned the room and the people that worked at the front desk were always nice to me and always willing to help. I would recommend to anybody a budget.
The front desk clerk was rude and would not accept a US passport as a form of photo identification for check in. The room was lacking basic amenities for a kitchenette. The dining table had no chairs and the refrigerator and microwave were nasty. The air conditioning unit took hours and hours to cool the room. Also the pool was quite dirty. Oh and they are super strict about parking in their tiny parking places. They will tow you if you are over the line into another space. I probably won’t stay here again even though its convenient to the NAS. Spend a few extra dollars and find a better hotel if you’re traveling with family.
I wish I was able to rate this “hotel” by giving ZERO STARS!!!!!! I can’t begin to explain how irate I was when I arrived on Friday, March 19, 2021 to be told “oh we don’t have a room available for you to stay”. What?!?!!!! I talked to the actual hotel twice!!! Once to confirm the reservation I made and switch it to a non-smoking room. And the second time when they actually called me that morning to confirm I would be there later that evening - to which I said YES!!!!!! I was then told that even though I had a confirmation number this did not guarantee me a room!!!!!!!!! I have NEVER heard of this and definitely WOULD NOT have “reserved” a room had I thought there was a chance of not actually having a room!!!!!!! Fortunately after MUCH searching during spring break time we found a clean, safe place to stay that night and then a nice Hampton Inn to stay the following 2 nights. It was all probably for the best as this place on the outside did not appear at all like it does in the pictures!!!! Do yourself a favor and actually go to a decent hotel that will honor a reservation!!!!!!!!!! Bottom line: I WILL NOT EVER “RESERVE” A ROOM WITH ANY CHOICE HOTELS EVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!
No pots or pans, even though the room was supposed to have them. The fake plastic carpet was really dirty and sticky. I had to wear shoes or my socks would get all brown and nasty. The cabinet doors had some dirty corners with food stuck on them. The room smelled very strongly of stale smoke and it didn't fade after airing out the room. Don't expect to use the exercise room. It's just two pieces of nearly broken cardio equipment.
After traveling all day, we arrived at this hotel that was booked in advance- only to be told that they overbooked and didn’t have a room for us. There was NO EXPLANATION as to why we were never informed and we were not offered any assistance to relocate to a sister hotel. We were told - sorry, no room. It was then a mad scramble to find another hotel. We ended Up staying further away for double the price. When I finally, after3 days, got ahold of someone at “corporate” - I got the old run around and got passed to different people. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!
Ive never stayed in a place that dont have enough towels for their rooms.. We had to go to the store to purchase towels and wash clothes.. Carpet so dirty your feet stick to the floor.. We wore shoes to walk around room.. Smoke detector taken off wall.. Had to get room key rekeyed everytime we left.. Very noisy all hours of the night. Slamming doors.. Parking lot not safe after dark.. People hanging outside in parking lot... Bathroom was dirty . tub was slick from previous occupants.. Towels had brown stains on them..will never stay here again.
I’ve been on the road and this is my 4th cheap motel in 5 days. It is by far the filthiest (seriously gross). In addition to that, it seems to be a home for some down and out Pensacolans so it’s a bit louder and creepier than other motels. The price is good but there are better/cleaner places in the same price range. The front desk staff was clean, friendly, and competent but that is the only positive in a lot of negatives.
