Decided to move my UK Pension to Ireland, due to Brexit risks and convenience in retirement. It was free to do and there were no UK penalties. You cannot do it yourself, so find a broker who specialises. I used Chris Mckenzie, from Pension Advice.ie. He addressed all my concerns around tax and penalties and did the transfer for me. If you are retiring in Ireland and you have a UK pension, talk to Chris.
