This temple is originally known as "Sri Nagareswara Swamy Temple". Ancient temple built temple built by chalukya kingdom, vas avi kanyaka idol is consecrated besides Sri Nagareswara swamy and Mahishasura Mardhani. Photography, videos are prohibited inside temple. Nandi, found in the diggings, was consecrated in the temple besides one Nandi consecrated here.
