A great temple to visit in penugonda. Goddess Sri Vasavi Kanyakaparameswari Maatha temple. Looks beautiful now after many renovation, still some works are going on. This temple is with endowment department. Arya Vysyas come a lot to this temple. Many events occur at this place. In the temple you'll find the details of all the gothra namas available each on a pillar on stone.

There is a veryyy tall statue of vasavi mata probably made with panchaloha. The surroundings are clean and green with some trees. Moolavirat temple is also nearby. Vasavi matha is along with lord shiva and mahishasura mardini. Sculptures on gopuram were splendid. There is a shirdi sai mandir opposite to the temple.

As an architect, this design troubled my eyes a bit. Couldn't digest the greek temple column design for this beautiful place. Also the vaults gives the feeling of the space as church.
