Fordys fishing and aquatic shop is highly recommended. They have an extensive range of items and now they have diversified into aquatic equipment at an affordable price. The staff are excellent and very willing to help you if you need advice. This shop is a big asset to the high street. As the saying goes use it or lose it so support it . It deserves to go from strength to strength.

Sadly the shop is no more, it closed up around Christmas. It served the local angling fraternity and was a tribute to George Ford who set it up and ran it up to his death. Very sadly missed.
I promised to take my sons fishing so I rocked up at Fordy's the day before I went thinking I'd just need to get a couple of rods, pay and leave. Yes, I know, completely naive of me. They were really very good. As well as selling me the right kit, they patiently explained how to put the business end of the fishing line together. It took a while and I had to leave to repark my car whilst they sorted out what I'd bought. When I returned about 20 minutes later they'd got other customers busy putting the line onto my reels while they put together leaders, complete with boilies and bait bags so I could simply copy what they'd done the next day. They even looked up the rules for the place I was going fishing, miles away in Bedfordshire so I didn't show up with lead core and get refused entry. Brilliant service!
Items as described arrived promptly competitive pricing.
