Our cat suddenly became unwell a few weeks ago; I contacted Fair City Vets and he was seen to immediately. Reception staff professional, reassuring, polite and friendly. Likewise with the medical team. Much appreciated them taking time to answer all my questions, and was grateful to Patrick for contacting us as soon as results were out and informing me of how to proceed. Very grateful for the great service all round. Noah is now fully recovered. Thank you all!
Had my dog booked in for an operation on the 14th October, today. Took him down for 9am as arranged, I even had an appointment card to prove this. They claimed they knew nothing about it and he would not be able to have his surgery today. After a bit of a debate and showing them the appointment card giving to me by the receptionist on the 3rd October, we returned home. Not even two minutes in the door and they phoned to say that they could squeeze him in today... Dropped my dog back off to them and without going to much into detail, I am yet again disappointed and let down by this place. To say I am annoyed for the service I have received today and on other occasions is an understatement. They were unable to carry out the surgery due to unforeseen circumstances, which I totally understand and I’m grateful that my boy is ok. The decision that was made to attempt the operation under the circumstances and knowledge prior to date is bizarre. Meaning that he will need to be booked back in to undergo this all over again when it could’ve just waited until we had arranged another date for the operation. I will be looking to move to another company ASAP.
I must say I am really disappointed with this clinic. I got a new puppy a week and a half ago and after only having him 36 hours I took him along to get registered and checked as he had travelled across the water and then traveled from England to his new home. The vet came out and the dog was really anxious and stressed from all the travelling and changes to his daily routine (Wouldn’t you be). Firstly I was made to wait outside whilst they took a very anxious and scared puppy inside to check and when the vet appeared again she said I should get him muzzle trained as he tried snapping at her. I contacted the breeder as this made me anxious and they said this was absolute nonsense that the vet has clearly went from 0 to 100 in the space of a ten minute visit and carelessly put aside all of the dogs stress. As I anticipated the breeder would say this I took the dog to get a second opinion with a dog trainer and they also were furious that the vet would say this considering the dogs stress and they had suggested the vet must deal mostly with cats as most if not all puppies nip and bite until trained otherwise as this is a form of play with their siblings. I then visited another vet who once again confirmed my thoughts that the dog was absolutely fine and whilst still anxious they were a lot more open minded to the experience the dog has had recently. I don’t know many humans that like going to the dentist and deal with this in their own way as does an animal choosing their vet. I definitely wouldn’t recommend as the new vet experience was like night and day compared to this place where I was able to come in (guidelines adhered to) and comfort my puppy whilst getting check over.
I have a 5year old cat and a 10month old kitten. Both are registered here they have received all their pet care here. Flea and worming treatments, shots, boosters, overall care. I have been extremely happy with service I have received I had an emergency yesterday with my kitten they had me booked in 2hours later and were seen quickly. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly. They always ensure that u understand everything if not they will explain the whole thing and break it down so u do understand. They really so care about the animals unfortunately I have had experiences with other vet surgeries where they do not seem to care at fair city they certainly care. And reasonably priced. The whole premises is very very clean, neat and tidy. I would never take my fur babys anywhere else I trust fair city with my babies and I always will certainly wont be going anywhere else what more could u want a surgery that really cares, reasonable prices, quick and efficient, very friendly, premises extremely neat and tidy.
