Beautiful, spooky castle. It only takes about 30-45 minutes to see the full thing but it is worth a look. When I went there was no one there to help us look but we had a good time regardless.

Nice home with a bit of history, however, your going to spend max 2 hours here. We went round in about an hour and didn't do it in a hurry. No tour guide but they did have some dress up costumes for our little ones at no extra charge. Cost 6.50 per adult and 3.50 for our 5 year old. Not good value for money in all honesty.

A very small castle by comparison, but this was simply a very small portion for what was once a grand complex. The inside is relatively small, dare I say cozy compared to some other castles. But don't let its small size fool you, it played a big part in the shaping of country's history. I won't spoil it for you, go check it out and find out for yourself.

Nice and quiet and you get a good feel inside what it must have been like to live there. Spiral staircases will definitely get you fit as they are some of the toughest you'll get. Would be a nice place for picnic on the outside table at back of castle on a sunny day.

Came here from Texas with my family to reclaim our ancestral land and castle to no avail; but we had a great time anyway! This little building and site has more history attached to it than it may appear given that its rather tucked away off the highway in a suburban area. We visited twice over a two week period. The staff here were extremely polite and helpful and provided information on other area places that we decided to visit. Advice: if you're driving a large vehicle don't park at the castle. Park at the nearby Dobbie's Garden Center and make the short walk.

I didn't have time to go inside. It's not so far from the centre, not walking distance though.

Lovely old Castle, very different from those south of the border. The ceiling rafters were heavily decorated and interesting.
