If you love your loved ones, please do not put them into Moncrieffe care home! If I could give this place zero stars I would. I had the misfortune to work here as a chef for six months and witnessed some truly shocking things. On my third shift the incompetent manageress brought her dog into the kitchen where it was able to eat off of the residents plates of food. I was absolutely shocked by this and asked other staff members if this was normal. It was normal for Norma McLeod the incompetent manageress to bring her dog in the kitchen as I witnessed this happen on countless occasions over the six months and reported this to the necessary agencies. I saw Norma bully, shout at and name call residents and family members behind their backs. Roll her eyes when they came towards the door but upon entry she would be all smiles and very fake. She only wants residents that sit in chairs all day because anyone able to walk freely around the home would be an inconvenience to her and the carers . I witnessed residents being restraint in chairs who were able to walk about , shocking just honestly shocking. The families need to exactly what goes on in this so called care home. Please do not send your family members here. If Norma took a dislike to you, she make that staff members life hell until they would have had enough and they would leave. So many fantastic staff members have left and Nurses brilliant nurses all because of this disgusting woman. She would eat before any residents had ate and I found myself on a few occasions not having enough to give residents a proper portion of food. I'm so glad I walked out and didn't need a reference from her because she would have done the same to as she has done to so many others. Given a poor and untrue response .

I would endorse all that Vit has said. He was the best nurse The Moncrieff Home has had from the past four years; along with a recent exodus of fight other excellent nurses who could not take the manager - with her vicious and utter disgusting verbal abuse. I, too, have often witnessed and personally suffered such intolerable behaviour worthy of dismissal time and again. One nurse came to me actually crying at the bullying she received : and a more highly qualified person too. Certainly the manageress is no stranger to verbally abusing the staff at all levels, cleaning, kitchen etc.. Worse still to the resident's families and friends to their face and behind their backs. I can confirm more than ten persons so abused but worse this is often discussed among her \favourite carers\ The original killer of morale in any environment. It is imperative to expose what what is a narcissistic person totally obsessed with her own power despite her protestation about being over 10 years in the post, shows no care of genuine interest in her job, but we resident's families, nurses, ancillary staff that complain to the care commission, social work, nurses council, and police - We cannot all be wrong?

A lovely setting ,clean .However i can't recommend it while the present manageress is there Norma McLoud as her attitude towards residents and staff is appalling .Too many staff have left over the years good staff because of how she runs the home .Beautiful gardens where very few residents get out into .Very few activities .Too many chefs have left under qualified staff left to attend kitchen .Carer's understaffed and senior staff leaving all the time for fall outs with Management .I wouldnt put one of my parents to this carehome .

My father has recently moved into Moncreiffe Care Home. He receives excellent care delivered by fantastic, very approachable nurses and carers . All staff ensure my father is given plenty time for all his needs to be met. Staff are well trained, very smart and courteous. Any issues are always promptly resolved. Excellent Matron in place who has a great overview and knowledge of everything that is happening within her care home.
