Completed the 5 day course , excellent tuition throughout. I finished the week with the confidence to carry out all the re skimming work on my walls and ceilings in my own property, and have also learned techniques for repairing walls and fixing plasterboard walls. I would 100% recommend "Plaster It Yourself" to anyone looking to take on there own projects.

On the two weekend course my learned how to board walls and ceilings, render, plaster, re plaster and repair. Nigel has a wealth of knowledge and patience. Plastering on day 3 he still needed lots of Nigel's input but on day 4 he left him to plaster the walls himself and even I was impressed with the result. He left P I Y with the knowledge and confidence to do a passable job at plastering that it will only get better with practice; his new skill has the potential to save us thousands as we look for our new home. I would say to any body you have nothing to loose and so much to gain (save 's) doing one of Nigel's P I Y courses.

The teaching of the method is clear and effective, and Nigel is a gold mine of information about the craft and the logistics of setting up and running a business. Plaster It Yourself is a brilliant place to go to learn all the skills you will need to start Plastering. My dad and I enrolled onto a double weekend plastering course. I have had no prior experience with how to plaster and by then end of the first day I had plastered a ceiling. By then end on the second day I had plastered 3 walls. The best thing about doing a hands on course rather that an Online do it yourself type of course is that there isn't someone there to watch what you are doing wrong. Nigel is a brilliant instructor who has all the patience in the world. Nigel also sells tools as well which I had bought myself after the first day. He helped me get used to my own tools so that I now have the confidence to happily tackle my own projects. If you are even thinking of doing any of the course I would say just bite the bullet and do it, You won't regret it.

Big thank you again to Nigel for a great 3 days with him. It’s the best money I’ve spent in a long time. Learned so much from his experience and vast knowledge. Not only did I learn a new skill, I’ve saved myself hundreds, if not thousands, of pounds being able to tackle my home renovation myself. Highly highly recommended. Was a complete novice a week ago, now heading to the DIY store to get my plastering supplies. Thank you again PIY!!

I just did the weekend course, as we are buying a property that will need a lot of work and want to do as much as possible ourselves. Everything about the experience was top class, from the communication ahead of attending and right through all the training. Nigel is excellent, he gives clear tuition and is patient and helpful. It is real hands on training so as a total novice you can leave with knowledge of how the whole process works from start to finish and also experience of all stages of plastering walls and ceiling. The course is great value for money and you can buy the tools you will need when you finish - and at great prices. A real bonus for me was the opportunity to ask endless questions about property diy and renovation, Nigel is a font of knowledge that he generously shares. I know that I can call or email if I have any questions as I go along, and also that I can drop back for a quick refresher if needed. So glad I did this, if you are swithering...Just do it!

I completed the 3 day course and would give the whole experience a 10/10. Nigel is a fantastic teacher with a wealth of knowledge not only in plastering, but in many other fields of DIY and construction. I came away feeling confident with the skills I had learnt, knowing I would be able to effectively complete the DIY and plastering jobs I had set myself back at home. The course is well structured, and Nigel will even tailor the course to suit your specific goals and requirements. He is extremely easy to talk to, making it a great opportunity to learn everything you might want to know about DIY. The entire 3 days were an amazing and worthwhile experience which far exceeded my expectations, and I would strongly recommend this course to anybody.

Was on with Nigel for a 3 day course, Absolutely outstanding course got what a wanted from the course and will be back to take on some more training with Nigel, Brilliant knowledge and patience of a saint. Great follow up support after leaving the course have been in contact with a question and got back to me with the answers i needed.
