My counselling experience was incredible - she was a perfect match for me and I have continued on to do aftercare sessions with her. All the staff brought something new to the table in a different way. The food's great overall and the nutritionists were very helpful - I am continueing to work with them as well. Andrew was great with yoga. Cheryl and Judy were great with Acu-detox. I used the gym alot - it helped in my recovery and to get me back on my training schedule. Nick Koo was a great trainer. The facility is great, there is lots to do. I would highly recommend CHRC's program on every level, it is a powerful and rewarding journey that leads to mindfulness.

I worked at this facility from its inception. I shared in the visioning process and established the nutrition and orthomolecular programming for the first year of operations. Although I am no longer with CHRC I am proud of what we built and confident it will change lives for the better! I just wanted to share that, contrary to what some reviewers have reported, the owners have poured their collective heart and soul into making this a facility that stands out from the rest. They are genuine in their desire to help hurting people. Because of this they see the best in clients and don't treat them as numbers. Because of this they would spend on premium food and wonderful chefs - both of which were very costly - even when it meant months of little to no profit. We set up the program to eschew processed foods and correct nutritional deficiencies with the best brain foods, in addition to personalized biochemical rebalancing, guided by truly stellar licensed nutritionists. This addresses the overall health and wellness of the client in addition to addiction programming, to enable clients to make better decisions with a better life quality ahead of them. As far as I know, there is no other facility in Canada that offers this. The entire approach is nourishing, not punitive. People who suffer addictions are punitive enough on themselves; they don't need this in a treatment facility. I leave this review long after my relationship with CHRC has ended in order that anyone seeking an addiction treatment facility can be assured that this is an establishment that truly cares and provides unparalleled quality of service. I have not been reimbursed in any way, nor even asked to leave this review. I simply wanted to share my own opinion.

CHRC is the place to go if you are truly ready to change your life. CHRC won't force you to do anything, but they will provide you with the tools you need to stay sober. I learned that it is always up to me to decide to use the tools or not. CHRC helped me figure out what the unique tools I needed were for my recovery.

If you are considering CHRC's residential treatment -do it! I ws hesitant, and truthfull a bit skeptical, that 6 weeks could undo thrity years of issues. I realized that it's not intended to \undo\ anything, but to equip me with the knowledge and tools necessary to live a happy, fulfilling life moving forward. I had toured the facilities a year prior to making the decision to attend, and kicked myself for waiting, wondering where I could've been had I only came in then. Instead, I have chosen to plan for where I'll be in another year, focusing only on the future, and the things I can control.
