Usually I have not had a problem with this store. They aren't as well stocked as the other Peterborough store but I can live with that. Today I had a real problem with the online order and curbside pickup. My order was wrong so when I took back the wrong items for a simple exchange the young man on curbside couldn't understand the receipt and took four time into the store to try to figure it out. When something out of the order occurs a manager should have come out instead of putting him on the spot of looking incompetent. Finally after 3/4 of an hour I left completely frustrated without my product that I had paid for. They refused to give them back to me and wouldn't return my receipt. I phoned the owner and got it worked out but that should not have been necessary.
Curbside service is quick and easy!!! Everyone that I dealt with from the phone ordering process to the fellow who did the curbside delivery were wonderful, friendly and a joy to deal with
Last Saturday, we were driving to Peterborough from Ottawa to visit our daughter. On the way, we smelt a strong odor of burning oil. So we stopped at this CT to see if someone could tell us whether it was safe to drive back. We were greeted by Mr. J P, who told us he couldn't help us, because he had no mechanics available. We mentioned we were from Ottawa, and he replied, so was he. He felt since the engine light wasn't on, it couln't be serious. However, he told us to go to Mr. Lube because they weren't busy. We went to Mr. Lube and they were backed up for hours. So we took our chances and drove back to Ottawa (our catalytic converter had a hole in it). To conclude, our local CT in Ottawa has twice checked out our vehicle during emergencies. Usually, it takes the mechanic 5 minutes from his work to give us a quick assessment. We feel since we were in transit, and since it was an emergency, staff at this location could have been a bit more helpful. Thanks,
