Shari was awesome to deal with especially during this Covid lockdown. She helped me find my future wife's wedding band of her dreams. And then I called back a couple days later and she found my forever ring. Amazing service and amazing people to deal with. I am very happy with this place and I definitely will be back one day for jewelry but not wedding bands lol maybe anniversary rings etc... you guys rock. Nice work to all of you.

I've been a customer here for over 10 years, I've bought and received almost all my jewelry here. I've been to People's locations across Ontario, as far as Northern Alberta. But this location in Peterborough is by far the worst. I had my LAST and final experience a couple weeks ago. I'm forever done, I've had enough. Not only has the quality of the products shown to be extremely poor (constantly have diamonds fall out of my rings and necklaces, gold hoops literally snapping, clasps breaking) but their staff is beyond rude. I went in and was looking at a high priced item I had been searching for. Well, I found a similar item for much less, and went with that. The sales associate immediately got irritated with me for picking the lower priced item (I guess they make commission off their sales?). She snapped at me telling me this item didn't come with the same thing as the more expensive item. I told her that's ok, I don't mind... She said ok and brought it up to the front. I let her know I was still going to browse for more items, but she didn't care and just said alright. The huge difference between how she treated me when I was going to drop a ton of money, and when I decided on a cheaper item, was stunning. Needless to say, I wasn't going to be spending more. And I won't anymore. Going to find a reputable jeweler that doesn't sell cookie cutter items. Oh, and by the way - Their warranties are a joke. Don't do it.

Sales guy wouldn't give me the time of day cause I was only willing to spend 300, went over to charmed and they were very friendly and helpful, let's just say when I'm ready to spend 1000 on a ring I won't be going to people's...

Purchased a peridot ring with white sapphires just over a year ago from peoples at lansdowne place in Peterborough, Ontario, on their request when I went in after my mother passed away and asked for their recommendations on a ring to honour my mom. I couldn’t be more disappointed in this piece of garbage I received. I have had to send it in for repairs twice within first 12 months due to the ring getting caught on things and the shape getting ruined (the pieces that hold the gemstone stick out a lot and get caught on everything), five of the white sapphires have fallen out, and the main peridot even fell out! The first time I sent it for repair was a nightmare and took months to get back. Even though I was told it would be weeks. The second time I expressed my frustration about waiting forever to receive it from first repair so someone from Toronto head office emailed me and when i replied they ignored me and never bothered returning my emails. Do not purchase jewelers from them! They recommend pieces of garbage that will break and fall apart. I know nothing about jewelers which is why I asked them to recommend me a ring. Seems I’ve been quite ripped off. Thanks peoples.

People’s Lansdowne was our first stop when shopping for my future wife’s perfect engagement ring. Randal was amazing, very relaxed and absolutely no over the top pressure. We ended up spending much more, but even when Erica looked at 1200 rings we felt the same excitement and service from the staff as we did with the verawang she ultimately chose. We then visited about 5 others stores as well as the jewellery market in Toronto and ended up going back to their store for our purchase. We picked the ring up, and couldn’t be happier with the ring itself and our experience. Thank you for making the whole process more fun than I honestly thought it would be. Erica & Rob

Peoples in Lansdown place is a joke! First off there mark up is over 1000% 2nd of all, and this is the funniest, they apparently do not have a scale in the store to weigh jewellery! Now what type of professional jewellery store does not have a scale! Twian does, charms does. They are selling a 22inch figaro necklace for 4400 and yet they cant tell you the weight of it! There only reason for this is that they're clearly trying to take advantage of ppl! Who would spend 4400 on a chain and ot want to know the weight! 1 star rating for worst jewellers in PTBO
