Be very careful about using this organization if you are a senior citizen. My mother, who lives and drives in a small town in rural Ontario, was referred to a Peterborough doctor for short term memory loss after eye surgery, and he told her that he would revoke her license unless she had an assessment with this company. After the assessment, (which was 600) she was told that she needed to have driving lessons with their instuctor at a rate of 125/hour until her driving improved. The assessment revealed that the memory issues that we originally sought help for were not having any impact on her driving. However, she has been driving for 60 years without an accident, and like many drivers, has picked up a few harmless bad habits. After several lessons, all carried out in the instructor's vehicle in Cobourg on busy streets that my mother never normally drives on, they told her that her driving was getting worse, and they had no choice but to revoke her license. Unfortunately, this company appears to have very little patience or empathy for working with senior citizens, and the authority that has been granted to them by the MTO puts them in what appears to be a financial conflict of interest. My mother is devastated. Unless you truly feel that your parent's driving is putting others safety at risk, you might want to avoid this entire situation.
