Lived my whole life in Peterborough and never went. Moved to belleville. Finally went. Really impressed. Lots of history. Kid friendly. Interactive displays
Loved it. We had heard about the fossils exhibit and decided that this would be a good time to see the museum as well. It's small and intimate and a great way to learn about local history. The fossils exhibit would have been better had the fauna depicted been local but what can you do if Peterborough paleontology is not as robust. The climate change message was loud and clear being careful not to draw conclusions.
What a wonderful little museum. They've tried to cover as much history as possible in such a small space but I think it was successful enough for getting one to rethink about Peterborough and the kawarthas. We weren't the first and I doubt we'll be the last.
