Just spent a weekend at The Cottage celebrating a family birthday. Everything was very high spec including the beds, the en-suites for each room, the underfloor heating and the warm water tap to clean our dog after a walk! The location is beautiful with many recommended local walks but I most enjoyed the views from the cottage patio while drinking a coffee. We were all very impressed with Barrow Hill Barns and are already planning a date for our next visit. Thank you to Rob and the team.

Lovely place. Perfect for the boys to run around and play. Only downside was there was dirt under beds and sofas and other people's left clothes found in waldrobe. Showers thou were fantastic.

We stayed in the Sidown / Long Meadow in October 2019. Would highly recommend - the standard of accommodation here is absolutely 5*. The design and spec of the barn is so well thought through; the kitchen is equipped with everything including proper wine and champagne glasses (in my experience rental cottages often just have a mismatch of bad glassware - not this place!), a dishwasher, and lovely crockery. The decoration is so tasteful, all natural colours. We loved the bedrooms (the photo below doesn’t do it justice) which were *huge*, with built in wardrobes with lights inside when you opened them, which we thought was a lovely touch. Finally, the bathrooms are beautiful, monsoon showers and provision of Ren products really was an unexpected luxury touch. I’d come back in a heartbeat. Gorgeous place.

I went to Barrow Hill Barns for a couple nights with a bunch of friends. The location is great, only a few minutes drive from the train station (which is an easy 1 hour train journey from London) but you feel like you’re properly in the countryside. Great pub nearby also! The accommodation was superb. All beautifully decorated rooms and newly furnished with potentially the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept on, includes all the mod cons you need. The service was also amazing, we didn’t have any problems at all even though the owner checked in and made sure we had his contact details in case we did. I would thoroughly recommend this place!

We stayed at the barns for a weekend with our two year old daughter. The owner, Rob, couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. The barns are situated in a beautiful part of the South downs and they have been lovingly restored with a real attention to detail. They were great value, luxurious, and very practical - a perfect home away from home for our family. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook a family meal all together, the beds were huge with crisp sheets and the showers were piping hot. Felt like we were staying at Soho farmhouse - for a fraction of the cost! We will definitely be coming back.
