Great place for family day out. Highly recommended even for families with toddlers.

We have a family membership of National Trust which works out cheaper if you are a regular visitor. We visited the Uppark first 2 years ago but decided to go again regardless that the house remains closed due to covid. It's a brilliant place for family day out, loads of open space and places for picknic. Great way to spend time with nature and relax. The drive is a bit adventurous as it goes up on a narrow road so you need to drive slow.

Gorgeous grounds to walk around and have a nice picnic on. The woods were closed due to high winds, but just walking on the fields overlooking the hills was beautiful as was the garden. Dogs are welcomed and mine loved the walk.

We've had a NT membership for years and never been here! Our first visit was lovely. Gorgeous sunny day. The views outside are stunning. It's not a huge estate, but the house is so interesting- especially the story behind the restoration- the fire. You can walk through the servant tunnels, which was interesting, but a bit spooky. Definitely wouldn't do that at night! The outside areas are just lovely. Plenty of room for kiddies to run and play. One family was playing rounders! We will definitely be going back.

Very simple Grounds and House. Coolest part is the network of underground tunnels connecting some buildings. The Grounds are very basic although there are some great views. There is a cafe but we didn’t visit. There is a gift shop too. We spent little time here, just used it as a base to stop off really. But it was all the time we needed here.

I've only seen the garden as the house hasn't been reopened yet because of Covid-19. The gardens are beautiful, there are also two walks you can make, a meadow walk and a woodland walk (marvellous). Stunning views of South Downs from the hill the house is located on. Go picnicking, cloud watching, kite flying and blackberry picking. Tranquil and serene scenery.

Always a nice trip out 'though quite a bit of scaffolding in place & areas not accessible at at July 2018. That said, still plenty to see. If the weather is on our side, a lovely place to just sit and spend a couple of hours. There is a cafe there but guess you could take a picnic, if you prefer.

Lovely property. Wonderful sitting out on a lovely sunny day. The Easter Egg trail was enjoyed by the Children. Not the largest of National Trust properties but a good day out.
