Great place. A must visit in peth. The temple is built in Hemadpanti style of temple architecture. The building shows a great example of architecture and knowledge of the people of past. The color transition formed due to the zigzag style of shikhara is perfectly beautiful. There is also a small temple nearby. The building of the temple was completed in the year 1218 C.E. The temple is of Sri khandoba and is built to mark the victory of Sri khagndoba over the demons Mani (मणी) and Mallah(मल्लाह) who surrendered to the Lord after a fight. They decided to serve him for the rest of his life and thus there statues are erected before the Gabhara as the gaurds of the temple. Inside the Gabhara are the Idols of Gods and goddess. The place is silent and covered in natural as well as cultural beauty. It describes the antiquity of our culture and knowledge. One can experience beautiful scene of nature while staying the temple the temple is beautifully crafted plus it has a train nearby which attracts a lot of birds specifically parrots. You can entertain yourself watching them. The best part of the temples in this area is that they don't have a daanpeti or donation box the people here work selflessly and voluntarily to maintain the temple if you could help them I suggest you should and above all, enjoy!
