I would highly advise you not to buy a puppy there. Please be very careful when purchasing a puppy. READ THE DOGS PEDIGREE. We recently bought a puppy who is super cute but I found that there is a lot of inbred puppies being sold and mine is one of them. Close inbreeding although not illegal is very wrong and not to tell me this when I was there is very wrong. A high quality breeder would never do this. I found all this out after I had purchased the puppy. Now I have to get my puppy genetically tested and to see what we are dealing with. She has more of a chance now to get a genetic disease and may be super hard to train. NOT ACCEPTABLE. Honestly they should be closed down. Google Petland and you will see all the issues. Unfortunately I didn't do enough research as we were sold on the puppies looks. She is a cutie and we love her but she may come with a lot of issues. Also Petland will not take responsiblity and they have you call pet solutions which is the absolute worst experience I have dealt with. I am probably headed the the news on this one.

We just bought our 2nd ferret here. We also bought our first ferret here about a year ago. We decided he needed a buddy, so we immediately headed back to this quality location. Even though it's an hour away, the staff here are all so friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, we won't do business at any other pet store when shopping for a pet. I love how the pets are all interactive with people rather than being in total lock down as at other stores. Especially with ferrets, they need human interaction, so they learn not to bite. This store let's you really see the type of personality your pet has long before you get it home. I love this store!!!

It was great seeing all the different animals there, especially enjoying them with my 16 mo old grandson too! The staff was courteous, helpful & upbeat. It was busy, a little crowded but the enthusiasm level was high so that made up for it. My daughter \visited\ too by phone on Whats app, while in Iceland. She thoroughly enjoyed seeing the unique animals, cutest ever puppies & being with us, too! Thank you Petland Topeka!

I love simply looking at the animals once in a blue moon, but think this visit changed my mind due to the noise level on this specific visit. Perks: The employees I encountered were fabulous!! Very friendly, knowledgeable, attentive! The puppy selection is pretty good overall, as there are quite a few to choose from, but depends what you're looking to purchase. Location: in the Westridge Mall As for the place itself, very hectic, extremely loud, crowded, expensive, and very limited or no selection on different types of animals. Not willing to work with you on price. COST: Plan to spend a lot (2k-7k) for an average purebred puppy, which may not end up looking like or being the size or color they anticipate, despite what you pay. (Personal experience with 1 of my dogs purchased there). * They do offer financing for the dogs. I previously purchased some animals (2 dogs, lizards, and more... in the past) from there, but can't support a place when you can find animals less traumatized not having to go through 'puppy mill' treatment, no one knowing what conditions they came from (not being told) being shipped, kept in small inside only living spaces without a natural or outdoor environment, etc. Overall okay business, good quality products, but limited and pricey. Also no labels to tell you about the dogs. I've attached a couple photos of my experience.
