This is the way to go! I love riding my trek bicycle normally, but it was too much to pack up both my bike and my boyfriend's bike so we decided to just bring his and I could pick rocks on the beach while he did his ride from Magnus park to charlevoix. However....2 days later I was itching to go on a bike ride with him! So I decided to check out E- bikes, pedal assist bikes, even a tandem! So I stumbled across Pedego Petoskey and saw it was only 53 for a whole day on a pedal assist bike! So we went and rented 1 for me and he rode his trail trek bike. The Pedego was perfect! I still pedaled the whole time but with little to no resistance going up hills, etc...I took it from their store in downtown petoskey all the way to charlevoix on the bike trail all along lake Michigan Michigan, we had lunch in charlevoix, (bike came with a lock and helmet!) Then went back to return the bike. That was the best 53 I spent, the entire trip! Took it 40 miles total and the battery still had a full charge! Could've went longer if we didn't need to return the bike by 6pm! Excellent experience and can't wait to go back and do it again in September! Harley was working the day we went in and was awesome, she was very knowledgable and sweet! Showed me how to use the bike, etc... she really knows her stuff and was accommodating!
A "must do" experience in Petoskey! We had an incredible amount of fun! If you and your family love to ride, then please don't hesitate. Any age, any size at Pedego they are the experts and go out of their way to make you feel ready for the adventure. Imagine riding your bike as a kid but now it's on steroids! The path between Harbor Springs and Charlevoix is spectacular. You don't want to pass this one by. Enjoy!
It was our first time riding e-bikes (rental). The staff not only explained things thoroughly and simply, he was super friendly and helpful describing the different routes. The bikes were amazing. We were able to go farther and see more. We’re big fans
We will definitely come back. We had a great time. The bikes were ready and waiting for all ten of us when we got there and they spent extra explaining how to use the bikes and make our 8 year olds feel comfortable with the handle bars on back. All 10 of us had a fun time from 8 to forties.
Great staff very helpful. My wife and I rented a tandem today. We rode from Petoskey to Charlevoix And had a great day. 40 miles on our GPS and still had 1/2 battery left.
The pedal assist bikes made the beautiful trip from Petoskey to Charlevoix a breeze! Would definitely rent again. Staff was very nice and professional as well.
Excellent customer service from Noheh Jimenez. We ordered two electric bikes last minute and he was able to deliver them to our site within the hour. The electric bikes were well taken care of and provided a great way to see Charlevoix and Petoskey. Would highly recommend and can't wait to use again!
