Decent little park, with adjacent old football stadium and track. The park has a decent skatepark complete with angsty teen boys on scooters coughing on Marlboro shorts. Good access or pickup point for Best river. Beach Volley ball courts with sand floors. Good access to the downtown route of the North County(star?) Trail. Large parking that is rarely if ever full. It's not Destination park, but good spot to walk your dog, park the car and do something outside, etc

It's pretty OK. The ramps were a bit out of shape and I'm sure it's purely just because of the weather. The mini needs a refacing along with a few other ramps. Granted I do like ramps faced this way vs just plain metal ramps. There are numerous ramps like these kinda scattered in a sense, but they do have a ton of flat bars and a concrete hip that I had some fun on. Another feature is this weird winding sidewalk with a tiny ledge running down one end. I'm thinking this is what the city thought a snake run was. All and all; if you can skate all the parks in the area (Charlevoix, Petoskey and Harbour Springs) it's worth a trip or two! Unfortunately this was the only one I was able to skate.
