I am so dissapointed with Pevensey and Westham and to think of what my son went through there sickens me. He started Pevensey and Westham a confident, happy little boy and left scared with no confidence, thinking he was stupid and thinking he has no future. They have ruined my little boy, neglected him for 2 years teaching him nothing and completely knocked his confidence. He came home with bites and bruises most days, they would send my son to a room instead of the bully so my son missed out on learning in his class. My son was humiliated and bullied by his teacher in front of his class to the point where he would latch onto me every morning crying his eyes out. One day I caught the teacher shouting at my son infront of class telling him he needs to go back to Nursery!! I had to take my son out of school in September 2017 and he is now at an amazing school where he is now happy, learning and glowing with confidence again. It took me 4 months to find a new school for my son and he was ever scared and distraught from Pevensey and Westham. Pevensey and Westham is disgusting and I think many people would agree that it should be closed down. The head teacher doesn't care about his pupils and the staff are very rude and judgemental. They don't support children with learning difficulties, instead they make the child feel like they are stupid and tell them in front of their class that they need to go back to Nursery!!!! It really is such a shame that our lovely little village has the worst school in East Sussex. :(

I read Selina Cox's review with interest. I attended the school over 50 years ago and was taken out of mainstream at 7 years old and taught ITA a new concept for teaching reading based on sounds rather than letters .As a result, when I returned to mainstream I was unable to read the written word,a problem which affects me to this day.It seems, therefore, that nothing much has changed at the school.

This school has a huge bullying problem, that they do not deal with. Had to remove my children as they didnt feel safe at this school
