Got take away probably 7-8 times in the past 6 months when visiting relatives in Pevensey Bay and love the fish & chips from here. Trying out the several options my favourite is now cod & cheesy chips & pineapple fritters. The portions are big, I love the old style card box and everything is always fresh. The girls & guys working there are really friendly. Definitely will be visiting again, the & is better here than in any of the restaurants in town.

I expected better from a chippy on the seaside that has its own website. I had large cod and chips. The chips were not at all greasy but tasted like all the grease that you'd normally get on a chip shop chip had been absorbed into the chips over time. They were too chewy to be fresh. The cod was ok but didn't taste freshly battered either. It was 3.30pm on a Monday and the shop was quiet , maybe I'd have got fresh food if I'd visited at a busier time. The lazy south European who served me should have dumped the part cooked chips that had been sitting in the pan for an hour , same with the cod I suspect, and served up fresh food. Sorry Rose.
