Dahlak is located in Philadelphia, United States on 4708 Baltimore Ave. Dahlak is rated 4.3 out of 5 in the category bar in United States. lak Paradise is PhiladelphiaÕs oldest Eri-Ethiopian cuisine restaurant and bar. The atmosphere is casual and guests are encouraged to eat their meal with their hands, as is tradition in Ethiopia and Eritrea. Every day there are new fusion specialties on the menu, so youÕll want to come back to Dahlak Paradise many times.

What is there not to love about Dahlak!! Oh man. The service is great, the food is incredible, and food/drinks/hookah are amazingly priced. I've been there twice now and will definitely continue to go back. I love getting a shareable platter because it just feels more authentic. The seasoning is on point for sure.

Absolutely love this place. First place I've had Ethiopian and it did not disappoint in the slightest. Delicious Chicken Dahlak thats just slightly spicy and has perfect flavor. The greens are perfectly cooked and seasoned and contrast the spicy flavor of the chicken.. Have already gone twice this month and after eating it earlier today, I can honestly say I can't wait to get it again.

I've never tried Ethiopian food before and I do not know how I missed out on it for so long. The Doro Okra was one of the best meals I have ever eaten and in such a charming little spot too. No need for silverware or napkins, the warm soft bread pulls triple duty. Imagine chicken and veggie stew, simmered down so its nice and think and scooped up with warm fluffy crepes and you can almost comprehend the delicious dish I had last night.

So I have been to Dahlak several times and I can honestly say that not only have I never had a bad experience but each visit seemed to bring something new to a comfortable welcoming environment. My first time ever going to Dahlak I did so on a whim, I happened to be in the area and wanted to try something new and different. Unassuming from the exterior dahlek provides a welcome departure from the urban sprawl of city life. Upon entering the restaurant the interior decor is simple not over worked, but extremely effective at providing a warm welcoming feel that transports you out of city life and into an eclectic safe space of diversity and inclusion centered around food, friends and music. To the general public the menu may seem a bit confusing but the staff is very friendly knowledgeable eager to explain and even happy to provide insights or suggestions. With three distinct areas each with its own atmosphere, Dahlak offers something for everyone. The main dining/hookah area is quiet enough to easily carry a conversation round a table. For those seeking a little fuller experience the second dinning area has a bar and a performance area that regularly features fresh local music artists. While the thi rd area has the feel of your local corner bar complete with large screen TVs usually showing sports and a music choice jukebox. The appeal of Dahlak is not just the food music or decor but also the patrons and atmosphere that has been nurtured and developed over Dahlak's 35 year existence which embraces diversity and multiculturalism at its core. I highly recommend a visit to Dahlak to anyone and everyone, whether you are looking for good food, a new experience or even a place to call your second home. Prices are reasonable, food is excellent and atmosphere makes it a can't miss.

So we got the pork bell plate which was extremely over priced for side of rice, small salad, extremely dry pork and cold under seasoned potatoes.
