3 stars is due to no indoor seating, but there's a ton of wasted space in the open kitchen. There is outdoor seating, but with no shade. When it's summertime at 1pm, it's not comfortable to sit outside. Another reason for the 3 stars is that the only "free" mustard is out of a bottle on the counter. That would be convenient only if you're eating there or if there was a way to take it with you. If you would like to take mustard with you, it's 50 cents. Not sure it's worth the pennies of profit they make to charge for mustard. The pretzel quality is good. Different from Ben's. South Bend fell in love with Ben's Pretzels, maybe they'll do the same with Philly Pretzel Factory, but not a great first impression. It will be great for tailgates. If you order a certain number of pretzels you actually get a free bottle of mustard. What a concept. I wish them luck. Our city needs great restaurants and they can get there with a few tweaks.

I love pretzels. There is no denying that soft pretzels are a great snack and I like the idea of a business setup entirely on soft pretzels. However, the pretzels need to be outstanding and these pretzels are not. Maybe I should have expected this given the price. It was 2.50 for 5 mini pretzels that are about the size of your palm, which is a bargain. Quality isn't the best but for the quantity, it was a good purchase.
As a jersey girl this is an amazing new addition to the south bend area. Fast service with a variety of delicious pretzels and pretzel sandwiches that are inexpensive. I especially love the pretzel cheesesteaks. These pretzels are super soft and delicious and can be eaten hot or cold. They taste great on their own or with one from many choices of dipping sauces that are super cheap. These pretzels come in large packages that are great for tailgates and easy to serve. This place is great!
This place is absolutely amazing and delicious. They offer different kinds of pretzels with unique twists. Several dipping sauces are also available. Be aware their is no seating indoors and very limited outside. Prices are reasonable and cheaper then Bens Soft Pretzel.
Umm....... worst pretzels I’ve ever had! Wondered why they were 3 for 3 pretzels. Think I’ll stick to Ben’s where they’re actually good.

Only thing in the case were pretzel bites, something with pepperoni and a pretzel dog which looked dried up. I order pretzel bites, hardest pretzels I have ever eaten. Not good. Won't be coming back if I hadn't already drove away and I had my 4 year old with me, i would have brought them back.
Cheap food but not so great quality. I had their pretzel hotdog.
