Westec Media Limited (WML) was incorporated in 2011 as one of the first distributor of films in Cambodia. The company’s first movie released was Transformers Dark of the Moon in 3D and 2D format. Since then WML has quickly grown to be the largest distributor of theatrical content in the country with around 90 titles released per year. These titles are drawn from some of the best studios and distributors in the world including Hollywood studios such as Universal Studios, Paramount Pictures Corporation, 20th Century Fox, Walt Disney Studios, Sony Pictures Entertainment, Warner Bros Entertainment titles, Thai studios such Sahamongkul Film International, Phranakorn Film, and more. Our commitment to strict operating guidelines, integrity in reporting and always looking to improve on our operations has allowed us to build strong relationships with our content partners. In 2013, WML has ventured into supporting local film production. We have funded and released titles such as The Two Tiger Girls, Run, Hanuman and Jailbreak with a commitment to support more productions and projects in the future. Through these efforts, we hope that we can begin releasing Cambodian content to international markets again in the future.
