This is a Phoenix institution as far as I'm concerned. Yes, they are a little pricey. But the tortillas (especially buttered) are ridiculously good. And don't sleep on the hot sauce. I've joked that I could drink it with a straw (not really a joke). The green chili is my go-to, but you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. This location is the OG and my sentimental favorite. I'm so happy they've made it through covid-19 so far. Support them!

Underwhelming. Not a place for picky people. Enchilada sauce was probably the best thing. We wanted enchiladas and like to support locally owned business. Building is grimy, dining room closed. (Understandably). Staff efficiently took our order. Waited 15 minutes for a 25 order. Got what we ordered. Took it home. Tasted good... a chunk of meat was in the beans and a human hair in the enchiladas. Cheese was barely melted. I put them in my microwave 30 seconds. Much better! Chips normal- in a plastic bag, not warmed. Salsa average also. Bean and potato burrito was ok. Low stars due to the hygiene concern.
Best mexican food ever. Downtown Phoenix location is the best. I'll be glad when this covid is over so we can have a sit down meal in the restaurant. The employees are very friendly.
Awful food. Too much sauce, barely taste the cheese in the enchiladas. When I checked inside the enchiladas, they didn't put enough cheese in it like as if they were cheap. I only taste mostly the sauce than enchiladas plus with less cheese, I pony tasted the burrito shells itself. The rice tasted awful like it was not fully cooked. At first, the food was cold and I asked if they can make it hot. The lady told me she'll make another one. When I got another one, I feel like she gave me the same one because it wasn't really fresh. That's why the stars are lost.
Stars 5 Great DELICIOUS food! 5 Courteous staff! 5 VALUE-BANG FOR YOUR 1 The inside is overdue for a remodel. Desperate need of a FACELIFT. HIGHLY recommend you try this place out!
