My Mother and I visited this place in November 2018. She was very excited to get on the waiting list. She and I thought that this place would be a nice and safe place for her to live. The man that we spoke to told us that the waiting list is anywhere from 6 months to a year. Last month she got a call and was told that she was number 21 on the list and that it could be around March or April that she might receive another call. Today she got a call and at the time my Mother couldn't answer the call. The person left her a message stating for her to call back. She called the person back within 8 mins later and was told that they gave the apartment to someone else. The man claimed that the person was already on the way in with her money for the apartment. WOW really that quick?? Sure. My mother was also told that it was the policy to call the next person on the list. That's fine and dandy but, to not give someone the opportunity to call you back as it was stated in the message is wrong. Especially since the person called back within 8 mins after the call. I can see if a person called back the next day. Then she was told that her name will go down on the list. Not fair. If this is a policy then don't leave messages or put that you don't get a chance to call back if you miss a call on your policy. Jobs even give you at least to the end of the business day to call back when they left a message. These are senior citizens maybe they are in the bathroom, at the doctors or just not close enough to their phones. 8 mins and you do that. Truth be told not everybody can answer every call they receive right then and there. This approach is not professional at all. I was really excited to have my Mother move into this nice building. Out of all the ones we checked this one was the best. It's a shame this has happened. I hope that this management will be more understanding and helpful to others in the future.
I've lived here for 5 years. I love the security we have since there are older people here. I feel 100% safe. We have an emergency button to the PFD if we need assistance right away and we are close to hospitals, medical doctors, CVS and Walgreens. We have transportation for grocries and Wal-Mart of needed.There were a lot more activities when I first moved in but there still are a few. You would never know that we love a block south of the freeway. The maintance on my apt has always been done in a great timely manner even after hours and weekend's. The floorplans are a little different than most apts and the bathroom is the size of a bedroom in most places. I will feel sorrow when I move because this has been my favorite place to live.
