Evidently Mary Schafer got transferred to the Grand Canyon title agency off of Power road because we had to deal with her while closing as well. Absolutely horrible experience!!! We had everything all set up to close and I called her to ask her about it all and she explained nothing and told me that she just sent me an email explaining it all (which didn't) and she basically hung up on me. Day of our signing, we sign everything (we felt like herded cattle, and slightly spoken down to through the whole process) and leave to eat breakfast. In the middle of breakfast we get a call that we need to immediately come back to sign papers that she forgot to have us sign so that we could close that day as scheduled. We go back to sign the papers that she forgot to have us sign (second visit to the office that day). An hour later, we get a call that I needed to sign another paper saying what my full legal name was and that I sign with only my middle initial (third visit to their office that day). I signed it exactly as I was told to, but two hours later I was called and told it was signed incorrectly!!! Went in a fourth time to resolve it, and luckily because my spouse works at a mortgage company they allowed for a late submission and money transfer. Two days later our mortgage provider asked us to resign several of the documents of the title, due to the horrible scanning job that was done by grand canyon title agency. We will absolutely never use them again!!!! We will obviously warn everyone else against using this company. And if you, unfortunately like us, are assigned to this skid mark of a title company (like we were by HUD) then.......may God have mercy on your soul.......
