If you want a “small school environment” where each student is valued and listened to, Horizon really is the place for your family

My two older children attended here from pre-k to 8th grade and I want to thank Horizon teachers and staff for such a great foundation for their education. Both are excelling and have the best study habits. I can’t wait to return to Horizon with my two younger children to give them that same foundation. Horizon fosters a excitement for learning that my 8 year old is missing at her current school. The central focus of Project Group is so dynamic and applicable to real life problem solving.

Have been going there for 7 years (2nd grade to 9th grade) and have hated every year. It is the most corrupt school I have ever heard of. The teachers only like you if your parents are teachers and you can get in trouble for anything you do. I recommend going to a different school. If you can't, good luck. This school has always made me depressed and every day I look off the balcony thinking if I want to jump today. Sadly the day hasn't come. -Unknown

Small, tight knit community. Great for K-8, not so good for high school. Worse teachers and very limiting classes. I'll be transferring to Desert Vista next year. Drug situation is non-existent here if that's a concern, with a few outliars. No hard drugs though, just vaping and wax pens.

HCLC is a great school! It is unique for so many reasons but most of all I love that a student that may be performing above grade level can receive appropriate instruction at that grade level without having to be removed from grade level peers! I love the hands on learning and the 5 day a week PE and recess. Students are lucky to get a well rounded education at HCLC
