Hal is very knowledgeable and easy to work with himself. However this process was an absolute nightmare and I did not feel supported or informed during the BK process and it was extremely stressful. I had to constantly ask questions and follow up on things myself. The paralegal Vanessa, came to both of my meetings in gym clothes and ear buds in. Being a professional office handling my financial life, this is unacceptable and definitely diminishes my trust in her to handle my affairs. She was curt and provided zero comfort to me. If you have never had to file BK yourself, there may be a lack of care of understanding of how it feels to do and the immense amount of stress one is under while and during the entire process. There could have been an effort to let me know what was happening and why, what to expect, etc. But there was none of that. I understand the Mr Campbell is extremely busy and he warned me about that, I can appreciate that for sure- but I expected his staff to be kind, helpful and polite. The assistant Danielle was wonderful and very kind as was the front desk person Kelly. This was an awful awful experience and could have certainly been made easier by a kinder paralegal and been less stressful if I had been informed better about the process and how things would work. I had to go to court twice and both times I had no idea who was meeting me there or when they would be there. I had to call the office both times to see what was going on while I was already stressed about the hearing. This is unacceptable in my book.

My husband and I filled for BK in 2017, Overall the process was somewhat smooth. The day of our court date the attorney left and forgot that he had court still, it was embarrassing sitting there waiting for your attorney, after they tell how much they charge you if we missed court. Thankfully he showed up super late.. we used the payment plan company that they also said would report to our credit bureau and that was a LIE. We are almost 3 years discharged and i'm still not sure it was the best decision. If I could do it over I definitely do more research on the attorney selection. So I actually just edited my review to one star from two stars because I just got an email from the BK billing company that Campbell set me up with and said that they would report to the credit bureau, when in fact they never did and the reason why is because the attorney never sent them the information...

From bankruptcy trustees and attorneys to federal district judges, Hal Campbell is considered by peers and foes alike, to be one of the best bankruptcy attorneys in the state, if not the country. His approximate 40 years of legal experience was very evident in our first meeting, and became more evident in his court appearances and ongoing legal counsel. Kindly disregard the sub-par reviews posted herein. Hal Campbell might charge more than other inexperienced attorneys in the business, however, his legal experience, knowledge depth and professional commitment to clients is worth every extra dollar charged. My gratitude and appreciation goes to Hal Campbell and his hardworking and kind staff for helping me through the bankruptcy process;-)
