One of the better libraries in Phoenix, Stanmore Library is close to the R102 and easy to get to from outside Phoenix. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Some of the services offered at the library: 1. Air conditioned facilities. 2. Books, dvds and cds. 3. Computers. 4. Newspapers. 5. Large, open plan space. 6. Clean public washrooms. 7. A security guard. 8. Free wifi. The only issue is that there isn't any enclosed public parking within the library, one would have to park on the pavement in front of the library. I did see private security parked around the immediate vicinity which made me feel a little more at ease leaving my car where I did.

Stanmore Library has been serving the needs of the local community for decades. I used to visit the libarary when I had assignments and school projects. The staff are friendly and heelpful. The library is wel run, neat and tidy. It's sad to see that it's not being used as much as it used to be. I know that information is now readily availabe to everyone as you have a virtual library in your pocket on your mobile phone, but there is something special about books which I hope we don't lose.

The librarian, Ricky, is extremely friendly, most accommodating & very helpful & so is majority of his staff... (There are some new staff members that need to get with the program & lose the attitude & serve the public dutifully...) Apart from that the library as a whole is top notch & always neat & tidy!
