Purchased my policy for auto and home on line. I required an SR22 two years ago because my insurance was cancelled by a former friend and I was not aware of the cancellation. When I received notice from the dmv that I needed an SR22 I contacted my insurance company. I had the policy for 30 days. They cancelled my insurance effective the date of the notice. At no time did they advise they do not insure customers with an SR22. When I asked for a refund of the payment they just took they advised I would not receive a refund because they collect in arrears. What insurance company charges AFTER they insure you for a month. Also my mortgage company paid my home owners premium buy The Hartford is still billing me. Do not use this company.
