Santa Express on the Rudolf steam train. We all had a great time but having not done it before I didn't know how cold it would be. The kids and I were freezing!!

A beautiful little country station in the middle of the North Yorkshire Moors national park. A cracking place to go walking from having arrived by steam train. Walking to Goathland and getting the train back makes a cracking day

What a beautiful area!! Photos dont do the area justice. Not a great deal to do.. but possibly there will be a bit more once this current Covid 19 situation is over.The drive is amazing to get to the station (4 x 4 a good shout!)...... recommend taking a picnic & going walking in the area. Beautiful place and all the villages leading to it. Stunning villages along the route

The station is a realistic reminder of travel in a historical period. It's also incredibly tranquil. Be prepared for one track lane driving up and down some steep gradients to get there and back however, as the road to the station terminates at the station.
