I have come here for lessons, glazes, clay and my kiln. This place is a great resource for anyone interested in pottery, new to it, or more experienced. The lessons are tailor made to my specific interests and needs and I've learnt so much in a couple of months coming here just once a fortnight. The quality of teaching, with Dylan, is streets ahead better than any of the other pottery places in and around Lancashire I've found, and I think it's because this is a working pottery (as well as a pottery school and a stockist of most things clay/kiln related.) Coming here has given me a greater understanding and passion for my hobby because they've taught me about the different clays, glazings, firings, and construction techniques. The craft places just can't deal with this depth of knowledge, because most of the craft places specialize in kids paint a pots and don't work with clay day in day out. I blew my new car money on a kiln, and can honestly say it's the best investment I've ever made for myself by a long way. Pottery is far better than any spa treatment for your well being, that much I promise you! This is a fantastic team and a fantastic resource, and I've learnt so much more than I can anywhere else in driving distance to me in Leyland, including the local colleges. Yes, for me it's a bit out on a limb, but so worth the trip. Thank you Pilling Pottery/Northern Kilns!

Great cafe and pottery shop. The food and coffee is very nice. Cycled here a few times. It's nice place to relax after.

It's not that I hate it, it's that it's closed. The pottery focusses on its chore business now. Still great to take kids to so they can be crafty and kids parties. Still great pottery but no more of those great pies!

Good food, pleasant service, nice surroundings. What else would one want. Some say it's slow well it's not, they just cook the food to order. If you want quick rubbish go to McDs

Unfortunately the cafe part is closed but the shop is still open. Good selection of pottery and art work.
