It's very ancient temple of Madhava Swamy. Belongs to 6th century. If a pilgrime comes to Pithampuram to pray at kukkuteswara temple, this place should not be missed for uniqueness, ancient. Not a grand temple.

Wow.. what a place. In the middle of the town and yet Serene, calm, peaceful. Came out completely refreshed. One of the five temples of Krishna (Pancha Madhava Kshetras), this is a must see.
